Lions Club Sliema Continues Support For Victoria Arts Festival
Lions Club Sliema has since 2007 supported the Victoria Arts Festival, especially that part of the programme that provides young Maltese musicians with the opportunity to expose their work and show their talent in the “The Composer Speaks/Debutantes” evening.
At the recently Lions Club Sliema organised Award Ceremony for the International Peace Poster Contest in Victoria, Gozo, the Club expressed its continued support to that programme item of the Victoria Arts Festival 2010. Vice-President Alfred Micallef Attard handed Dr. Maria Frendo, representing the Organising Committee of the Victoria Arts Festival, a cheque as the 2010 contribution of Lions Club Sliema. The presentation of the cheque is witnessed by Mr. Anthony Borg of the Ministry for Gozo and Dr. Chris Said Parliamentary Secretary responsible for Local Councils.
